I am a new user and have only burned two dvds using DVD-A. I didn't have highlights on my main menu page either (used rectangle). I did have them on the submenu though. I figured it was me.
DVD-A is somewhat limited in what you can do. On the page tab, note you can change highlight style. At the far right is the color picker. Click on the tiny down arrow to open. You can tint the overlays and vary the alpha and get some interesting effects. Right now, my favorite method is just to select the text rectangle under highlight style. This clearly shows a highlighted text box on set tops that's pretty decent. Again, you can apply tints.
In PAL - most player I checked didn't show the highlighted. When I switched to PAL-WIDE the menu works.
On some player that are PAL and NTSC - NTSC works OK.
Udi, we haven't been able to repro this problem with PAL DVDs. What specific players have you tested and found that the highlights don't work? Also, can you please send us the .dar of a simple DVD Architect project that exhibits this behaviour? (I'll send you an email.) Thanks.
I HAVE DAEWOO DVD PLAYER AND WHEN I MAKING A PAL DVD MOVIE THE MENU HIGHLIGHT MISSING!
THEN I CHANGE THE SAME PROJECT TO NTSC - THE MENU IS WORKING WELL!
