Menu Music

Whenever I create a DVD with a menu the music I add on to the menu plays for only about thirty seconds of the song. How can I get the music to play through the entire song, and loop it so that when the song finishes it starts over? Oh, and is there a way to get the music set for scene selection to continue playing, rather than start over at the beginning of the song everytime you switch to a new scene selection page? Thanks in advance!

Check the run length properties (loop point) of the menu. IMS, it defaults to 30 secs but it can be changed.

As to having an audio track span across different menus... I don't think thats possible.

No, it is not possible to have music play continuously as you move between menus / pages. Each one is created as a separate VOB file on the disc, and each VOB file as its own video and audio streams. When you move from one menu / page to another, the player stops playing that file and begins playing a different file.

This is not a limitation of DVD Architect but of the DVD format.

Hi Rob,

almost correct but several menus within a single VTS do not result in several files. Nitpicking again as in another thread today I'd like to correct that a bit. ;)

Any file named VTS_xx_0.VOB (where xx can be 01 to 99) contains one or more menus. No matter how many menus you are producing within a single VTS, all end up in that ..._0.VOB.

All VTS_xx_y.VOB files (where y is any number from 1 to 9) contain the "movies" or more correct, the titles.

But in total you're right, you cannot have continuously playing sound and in fact it's a format issue. :)

Cheers
