menu question

Hello all!

I have a question on menus and background media.

I'm building a dvd with about 10 different submenus. (lesson 1 thru 10), each "lesson" has 6 chapters that when you click on that selection it runs a 1 minute video.

In each "lesson" submenu, I have a short video that loads upon entry (introducing the lesson.. a character saying "welcome to lesson 1"

What I would like to do is have my list of "chapters" appear AFTER this short video runs. (right now they appear on the screen and conflict with titling that is contained in the short lesson intro) Is this possible?

Thanks!

Bryan

You do this by using a Loop Point. This Loop Point will appear as a green marker on your timeline for your menu once you add a video to the menu page background.

What the Loop Point does is set the point at which the menu buttons will appear. So, if you create your menu page background video with a slight freeze frame at the end, you can set your Loop Point for the point at which the video goes to freeze frame.

The effect will be that your background video will play -- then, at the freeze frame, your menu buttons will appear and it will remain like this until your viewer makes a selection.

There are more details and illustrations in my book, by the way.
