Menu/Scenes in DVD Architect

When I insert a menu/scenes into a video from Vegas 10 using Architect 5 the menu appears in the preview so that I can navigate to the various scenes. Similarly if I burn to a dvd the same is possible when viewed through my pc. However, using the same dvd and viewing through a tv the menu does not appear and the video itself starts to play. Can any one please advise me as to what I am doing wrong and how I can overcome the problem so that the menu appears on the tv and navigation to individual scenes is possible.

First, look at the structure of your DVD in the Project Overview window on the left. Where is the Start Disc indicator? (That's a little purple square with a white start in it.)

If it is located any place but on your main menu, it is indicating to your DVD player that you want to start at this spot rather than on the main menu.
