Menu working fine in preview, various issues after burning

Hi,

I've been looking to fix this for more than a week and I think I'm at the edge of a mental breakdown. I'll take any clue you have.

I've been working for weeks on making a Blu-ray disc for my friend's birthday. I am working with DVD Architect 7 (build 100) on Windows 10. As it's my first DVD Architect project, I've ran in a couple issue but managed to find out how to correct them (thanks already for that). Now, everything is set. The medias, the audio and subtitle tracks, the menus and the buttons.

As you can see, everything is working fine as I run it in preview mode :

So I exported it as an ISO file and burned it on a Blu-ray disc through Nero Burning. And there goes the troubles.

If I read it with my PS4, it goes like this :

- Main Menu buttons do not appear BUT you can still navigate as if they were there. It's as if they were "invisible".

- Main Menu doesn't loop.

- If I try to select an audio track and subtitle track through the "Languages Menu", it won't apply. The episodes will still be read with the default audio track and no subtitle (as it is the default setting too).

I also tried the very same disc on a DVD and Blu-Ray disc player. And there are numerous issues too BUT not the same ones...

- Main Menu doesn't loop.

- If I go through the "Languages Menu" and then go back to the Main Menu. It's stuck. The buttons are not appearing anymore. And it's not as if they were invisible, you just cannot select anything.

The rest seems to be working fine.

I need it to work as in previsualation. It's just the way I had it in mind.

Thanks for reading me and hope you will be able to help me.

Happy New Year.

Do the same playback problems exist after burning directly from DVD Architect 7 rather than through Nero?

Also, is your DVD/BD burner compatible with Windows 10 and is the burner's latest driver installed?

@LaCroute As you used Nero did you validate the burn?

Hi,

I've just tried that and the result is the same.

My DVD/BD burner is a "Slimline External Ultra HD 4K Blu-ray Writer 43888" from Verbatim. It is compatible with Windows 10 and doesn't need a driver.

What do you mean by "validate the burn" ? I checked the "data verification" if that's what you mean.

Yes, that's what I meant. I wasn't completely sure of the term and don't have Nero on this pc to check. I still burn occasional disks with Nero but on my old pc.

Anyone ? Help please

Unfortunately with disc burning on the decline there's probably few users creating disks, especially sophisticated discs like yours, and even if they do they may not visit the forum regularly. DVDA has been a discontinued product for several years now.

Back in the days when DVDA was active Steve Grisetti was a knowledgeable and helpful contributor but he hasn't appeared here for over two years.

Searching through old threads looking for anything that might help you it crossed my mind - are you burning to a dual layer disc?
