When I try to "Open still image sequence" I keep getting this error:

File META:\Image Sequence\{META:\Image Sequence\{META:\IIMG_8228.jpg} (0)[337][4] could not be opened.

One error for each file I try to import.

I've done this before with the same group of images with no problem, but now get the error. I've erased the images, resaved them from the originals, deleted the project and started a new one, restarted the program, restarted the computer, tried a different group of images, still nothing works. Anyone have any clue what the problem is?
