metronome

I can hear metronome during playback
why is this happening?
I use Microsoft Sound Mappers for all buses, should I change the setting?
The manual said that the metronome isn't included at the final rendering, but I still hear it after I rendered the sound file.
Please help me
Any advice would be greatly appreciated

From the help menu:

From the Options menu, choose Metronome if you want the metronome to keep time while you're recording. When you start recording, the metronome will start playing at the tempo specified on the Ruler tab of the Project Properties dialog.

To change the sounds used by the metronome, use the Audio tab in the Preferences dialog.

The metronome’s sound is not mixed in the final rendering of the project.

As a curious experiment, please make sure you have the metronome turned off, then solo each track and listen to them one at a time. Do you still hear the metronome with any of them? If you do, how were they recorded? What i'm wondering is if you had your sound card set to record a mixed "what you hear" input for those tracks. In that case, the metronome would have been recorded along with the signal.

Thank you so much for your reply

I do still hear metronome after I turned it off
This is what I did

1. Recorded a section with metronome on
2. Listened to the playback. Could hear the metronome
3. Turned off the metronome and played back the section again. Still could hear it.

It might be the problem you mentioned. How do I fix it though?

This is the setting in my control panel.
At "Sounds and Audio Devices Properties",
the default device for {sound playback} was set to "M Audio Delta 1010 Multichannel"
The other choices are
* Modem#0 Line Playback
* SB Live! Audio [DF80]
* M Audio Delta 1010 1/2
* M Audio Delta 1010 3/4
* M Audio Delta 1010 5/6
* M Audio Delta 1010 7/8
* M Audio Delta 1010 S/PDIF

The default device for {Sound Recording} was set to M Audio 1010 Mon. Mixer
the other choices are

* M Audio Delta 1010 Multichannel
* Modem#0 Line Playback
* SB Live! Audio [DF80]
* M Audio Delta 1010 1/2
* M Audio Delta 1010 3/4
* M Audio Delta 1010 5/6
* M Audio Delta 1010 7/8
* M Audio Delta 1010 S/PDIF

In the {sound recording} section, I don't really know the difference between M Audio Delta 1010 Multichannel and M Audio 1010 Mon. Mixer.
Like, if I choose Multichannel, what kind of setting would be changed? and the same with Mon. Mixer

Is this what I've been missing?

Please help me
Thank you so much

That's the problem. Your looping the signal through the Mon/Mixer (control panel > M-Audio Delta H/W > Monitor Mixer tab > Mixer inputs > WavOut > mute those channels). The playback signal is being routed back to Vegas and recorded again

Or the simplest thing to do (assuming you have your feeds connected to inputs 1 & 2 on the 1010) is to set the Default Audio Recording Device in Vegas > Options > Preferences > Routing to M Audio Delta 1010 Multichannel or M Audio Delta 1010 1/2, there should be a choice in the track you are recording to after you arm it (left of the record button) for all your inputs also, choose M Audio Delta 1010 1/2 in the track too.

Recording from the inputs directly eliminates the looping possibility from your internal mixer.
