The Gene Siskel Film Center is proud to honor esteemed director and Chicago native Michael Mann with the Visionary Award for Innovation in Filmmaking at our Annual Gala on Saturday, April 2, 2005. Known for his stylized night scenes and urban atmospheres, Michael Mann has directed critically acclaimed films including ALI, THE INSIDER, HEAT and the recent box office hit COLLATERAL. The event will feature an interview with Michael Mann hosted by “Ebert & Roeper “ co-host Richard Roeper and a live auction of luxury travel packages and movie-related items.
