Sony already has Acid for MIDI users so I doubt very much if they will ever incorporate that feature into Vegas.

I've only played with it a wee bit several years ago.
Yes, the layout is very similar to Vegas.
You can download a free version of it called Acid Express (10 track limit) from http://www.acidplanet.com/downloads/xpress/.
There's an Acid forum on this site if you have any questions.

I use my MIDI keyboard for mixing in Vegas. I assign sliders and knobs to various functions/audio tracks.

Reberclark,

Is the response good with this setup? Meaning, do you have any lag or reaction time to deal with?
What keyboard are you using?
thanks

Just to chip in, I under-utiise an M-Audio Oxygen 8 as a controller - not all the functions, just the pitch/modulation wheels for scroll/zoom, and the transport. buttons. There's no noticeable lag compared to the keyboard/mouse. Because it takes a bit of desk real estate and I rarely use the keys, I've been thinking of getting a contour pro instead.
