MIDI - DX - SF6 and Vegas

Ok here is a real head scratchier.

A couple of days ago I posted here for help on getting Vegas to output midi notes to trigger my drum rack unit. I have since found Drumagog and another user here also suggested it. It appears to do exactly what I want however... and here comes the weird part... I CAN get it to sync in SF6 but not Vegas. The samples DG provide work in SF6 and there I am able to get the recorded, sampled and MIDI notes to lock in perfectly!

BUT when the same settings are used in Vegas it all falls apart. DG loads in slow and in pieces. The visual latency has to be set at 851 before it even gets close to the music. The MIDI latency never gets close. I have tried it on a track, on a bus and on a master... nope nope & nope.

Also, Vegas does not "see" DG unless I add it to my DX favorites folder in SF6.

If I save a plug-in chain in SF6 and then open that chain in Vegas - MIDI output disappears all together! Weirder still, MIDI function, although out of sync, will not return unless all chains containing DG are deleted.

Ok here are my questions:

1. Anyone out there run into this and or solved it using Drumagog or another program to output sync to a MIDI rack unit in Vegas 3

2. Should the DG .dll go into a special folder in Vegas or in the shared plugin folder? Right now it is in DG's.

3. Why is the DX plug-in behaving so differently in Vegas from SF6... anyone ... anyone?

I'd also like to publicly thank Rim at DG for all his help over the last few days trying to get this to work.

Thanks

Ahh...The vegas latency is causing this..
best way is to do an "open Copy in Soundforge" and do it destructively.
mind you its a copy and you can always switch to the original by switching takes.

im not sure what you are talking about when you say MIDI notes?
There is no midi in SF unless you are referring to DG? and thats just samples (well there´s midi in SF but very simple)

im sure that its the latency in vegas and im sure it will work by just opening the copy and doing it that way....although sometimes there´s a small latency in DG as well.

I am refering to the MIDI note out function in Drumagog (ver 3.02) it gives you the option to trigger MIDI notes along with the samples or just by themselves.

Like I said earlier in SF6 I was able to get all three to lock up live, sampled and MIDI out. It was great! Very flexible and all options open while mixing - but when I used the same settings in Vegas - - - HUGE - - - letency issues.

So, is there a know Vegas latency issue and is there a work around? I suppose I could shift the entire track ahead 851 ms but that kind-of defeats the purpose. I can always analog trigger the rack unit but that method is not as solid as I'd like.

Thanks
