Vegas 4.0 has perfect automation for CPU-based plug-ins/effects. I'm very impressed how smooth are the graphical movements. I've never seen this smoothness before - neighter in Logic. Now i can really USE my favourite plug-in the Waves C1s/c..
(by the way : what about external sidechain possibilities?)
At this point i'm very happy with this, but when i look at my MPX-1, Fireworx and my FilterFactory i'm thinking : WHY THE BASIC MIDI IS MISSING from the Vegas 4.0?
There are MANY professional outboards which are controllable by CC. Most of you know very well how THOSE effects can work...
Vegas is a PRO product - but can't collaborate with the other PRO products...
All i need is graphic MIDI "FX" automation envelopes for CC (sysex?), like the vol, pan, FX automation...
And MIDI ins/outs, of course.
One more thing. Bus tracks are great. But the envelope editing is very hard without a chance to select a region individually from the session - and copy, paste it.
I wanna use a BUS track to get the "rhythmic sidechain"... Perfect to make space for eg. the KICK against the incoming signal to that BUS.
Is there anybody who really cares?
cheers
