Midi Note OUTPUT?

I am trying to set up a midi tigger on a bass drum track that will OUTPUT midi note data. I want to use a sampled kick drum in a MIDI rack unit in place of the recorded one. Sound Forge lets me auto region and that marks all the kick hits nicely but the midi note info there is only for input triggering of that region. It also appears that even if I can get it to output note data and trigger the ext drum unit - it does not look like Vegas recognizes SF regions when the wav is brought back in to the project. Am I missing something very very simple or is this not an option?

Thanks

I've done a similar setup using Akai samplers, an MPC-3000 drum machine infact. On that unit it would have a "trigger input", where you would just feed the original drum sound input and the sampled drum sound would trigger off of that. Maybe your sampler has the same kind of option?

Hi Anar

I found Drumagog and I have been in contact with Rim the creator - he has been a great help but I am 2x fustrated now because I can't get DG to work.

Are you using the MIDI output or the samples? If you are using the Midi function ver 3.02 what is you sys set up please and did you find syncing difficult?

I really want this to work but the latency issue is killing me.

I am using the Dm5 and it has all sorts of trigger options - I have found Drumagog and it does exactly what I want except for I can not get it to sync in Vegas. It will sync up in SF6 but in Vegas it flies to pieces. The MIDI and visual latency are completely off from the settings in SF6 - Any answers anyone?
