Is your SSD a copy or a clone of your old hard drive or did you reinstall the operating system and all of your programs?

Sometimes, even after a cloning, things don't work as well as they do after a true reinstall of programs.

It all depends on how you "migrate".

What I have done is to take an Acronis TrueImage backup of the hard drive and then restore it to the new SSD. Backup and restore works great as long as the SSD has enough space to hold all of the files.

Acronis also has a clone option that will copy the "signature" of the drive (or something like that) so the restore looks exactly like the original drive. This has worked for me as well.

With either option I haven't had any problems moving to an SSD.

I guess a clone. I used the Samsung migrating software.

As I stated, everything works. Everything...except Vegas 12 and DVD 6.

But even after reinstall, it still does not work.

Does Vegas ask you to re-register?

Yes.

and even if you register, it doesn't work? That is weird.

"That is weird"

Hence the post on the forum.

I've submitted a support ticket with Sony so I'll see what they recommend.
