Minimum track size?

I recently created a 3 second "track", once it is imported into CDA5 session, the track length was automatically extended to 4 seconds. I figured that the minimum file or track length (total time) is 4 seconds. Is my conclusion correct? ( I really did no do an extensive search on this and my DAW is not currently at my finger tips)

Yes, you are correct. The redbook standard for CD's states a track must be 4 seconds in length or greater. So 4 seconds is the minimum by redbook standards.
