Haven't tried this, but what if you make a pan crop 3d track and rotate the video image 180 degs?

Adam Woodworth made a plug-in (free) that I use when using a
DOF lens adapter. You can turn off the vertical flip so you get the mirror only.

Open Image in PAN and CROP. Rightclick and select Flip Horizontal.

Of course, this will reverse everything so words or such in the scene will be backwards

Ahh now, I figured it out. Open up the pan/crop window for that clip, right click and select "flip horizontal". Perfect mirror image! :-)

edit: Perfect flip, but boy does it slow down the preview. I tried the flip plugin mentioned by RCourtney:

The advantage of the plugin is that it doesn't slow down previews and renders. Cool but it only works in Vegas 32 bit (which is frustrating because with the 64 bit Vegas I can set up a huge RAM preview which is particularly important on this project because of how many track it has).
