Missing audio tracks in Vegas Pro 15

Hello, I have been a customer of Vegas Pro 15 for 1-2 years. A few weeks ago, I wiped my computer clean due to performance issues. With this, I also had to reinstall Vegas Pro 15 along with my video recording software OBS.

I like to record my videos with separate audio tracks (one for my microphone, one for video game audio, etc). Vegas Pro 15 had no issues showing all audio tracks from my videos, until now. Ever since I started recording new videos, even with multiple audio tracks as before, only one of the audio tracks is showing up on the Vegas timeline. VLC shows that there are multiple audio tracks for my new videos. What's even more confusing is that my old videos' audio tracks are showing up just fine in Vegas. SO I don't know what's going on.

I've tried reinstalling Vegas, and I've also tried renaming the "compoundplug" folder in the Vegas directory. These do not solve my issue. If you can help, I would greatly appreciate it.

Thank you.

Are the imported audio tracks separate mono files or an interleaved PCM poly file?

I believe it's the latter... all the audio tracks are combined with the video in one mp4 file.

Also, I fixed my problem. I was using Intel HEVC codec to record my videos, when I should have used AVC codec. Apparently Vegas Pro 15 doesn't like HEVC...

Thanks for the reply.

For HEVC and better decoding in general you may have better luck with 18- here for $25: https://www.humblebundle.com/software/vegas-pro-2022-software?partner=bundlemasters

Thanks for this.
I'm happy to have upgraded to 18, but it still does not recognize all audio channels of the videos made with HEVC.
