missing/black frames in a clip

is anyone else experiencing occasional missing/black frames that get inserted into a clip???? I get the red 'media offline' graphic when I zoom in on where the frame/frames have been removed and replaced by a black screen, but i know darn well the clip is still on the computer (and it's weird only part of the clip goes missing!).

the other problem i have had lately is that Vegas Movie Studio tends to want to space some of my abutted clips apart...I can grab a group of clips and drag them to the timeline, but occasionally I will start noticing empty/black frames (similar to above, but for a different reason)....when I zoom in, i find it is because movie studio has taken all of my clips in a project and spaced them apart by a frame. If i delete the clips and replace them, movie studio remembers where they were misplaced and puts them back there!

Granted, I am working with media of different frame rates, but I am not sure if that is causing the problem or not....

would like to hear if anyone else is experiencing these problems....I love movie studio and DVD architect, but some of these issues are causing me a GREAT deal of time to correct....it's very frustrating...
