You must still have an unused clip or other media listed in Project Media. In the top left of Project Media ids a lightning bolt icon. Click this to remove unused material and you will no longer get the missing file message.

It is a good tip, but I finally just got a chance to try it , but it didn't work. I still get the missing file window. I just hit ignore, and maybe that's all I can do.

Copy existing veggie and call it something else. See if that cures it. Then try renaming OLD veg and rename Newly named veg as OLD veg? Yes?

Do you have Vegas set to open the previous project on startup?
masmedia wrote on 6/25/2006, 8:17 AM
I do not have it set to open previous project. It does this to me every project.

Did you re-save your project? Clean the media pool then re-save the project and it should work.

there you go! I mustn't have resaved it after I hit the lightening bolt.

Thanks, everybody!
