Has anyone had this issue where you have the render options ticked for metadata to include markers in render and resulting in NOT appearing in the imported .mpg file. I never had this issue in prior versions of Vegas.
What sort of file are you rendering? Marker info is included in SD MPEG2 rendered files, but in HD AVC files marker info is included in an associated (sidecar) file. The sidecar file must be in the same folder as the video file.
@PeterDuke: SD mpg. These are old Super 8 DV tapes captured via Sony Video Capture. I think this is related to Vegas Pro 11 with New Blue Titler Pro FX plug-in. But just curious if anyone else has this issue or if it's just me wiht the new release. Possible buglette?
I don't think MPEG2 files include markers. I believe they end up in the "sidecar" .mpg.sfl file. If you move or rename the .mpg and .ac3 files somewhere else after rendering it's easy to forget to move or rename the .sfl files with them.
@ Peter: Yup. Vegas Pro 11 32 bit build 424. All drivers up to date. latest version of DVDA 5.2. And yes the markers are ticked in the meta data file options. I cannot use avi otherwise I lose lossless quality.
BTW: Do you have New Blue FX Pro Titler installed?
Apologies to Chienworks
The .sfl sidecar file must be present for both MPEG2 and AVC renders in order for DVDA to see the markers. I was sure that I had proved otherwise the other day ...??
Also I just noticed that although I had downloaded the latest build of Vegas Pro 11 64 bit (425), I hadn't installed it. I now have, but there is no change. I get markers provided that the .sfl file is present.
Just render your audio and video to the same folder. All the relevant files will (unless you change the default) have the same filename stem. DVDA will take it from there.
