I am missing HD uncompressed and my Avid DNxHD render templates. I did a new, clean install on QT, Avid codecs and then V11 and still they are not there. I have the QT 56kps through 3mbs templates but nothing elese.
Thank you in advance for any help!

I have Dave. I used the link from the musicvids good, better, best tutorial and re-installed the Avid LE 2.3.4 codec pack. I had these templates with V10 and they have only gone missing since installing V11. I did clean re-installs of the Avid pack, QT and V11.
Thank you Jerry. I did a clean re-install. When I follow the link you provided it allows a download of a zip file. When I extract that zip file, it allows the Avid codec setup. When I follow that link, it asks me standard download questions and once followed it appears to complete the download. I can then find a new Avid folder under programs files (x86). If I open the Avid folder, it says Avid Codec and when I open that folder it is empty.
This is now driving me crazy. I have been fortunate to not experience some of the problems I have read here regarding V11 but I can't render a simple project out to a mov uncompressed folder because that option is not there....nevermind DNxHD. I have sent a tech support request...
"I can then find a new Avid folder under programs files (x86). If I open the Avid folder, it says Avid Codec and when I open that folder it is empty"My folder is empty as well. However, when I configure via the step-by-step in the following: DNxHD Configuration, everything works fine.
In your example it is showing V10 and I had my V10 configured just like that and it worked great. Now with V11, I do not have any Avid or even uncompressed templates showing under my QT render options. All of this worked great with V10 and yesterday Steve Mann sent me a screen shot of his V11 QT render templates and all the Avid and the uncompressed templates were there. They are not there for my V11. I have done clean re-installs of QuickTime and it still looks the same.
Jerry,
When I select one of the QT templates that are showing, I can go to "customize template" and then under "video format" I see the Avid codecs like your screen shot.
OK Jerry....thank you. I saved that template. What has me confused is with V10 I did not have to "build" the template, it was just there after I downloaded the Avid codecs. Also, I would use the already there uncompressed QT template to import to Handbrake. Will I need to "build" that one as well? Will that be the Avid Meridien uncompressed?
You don't know how much your help has made my morning better Jerry...
"What has me confused is with V10 I did not have to "build" the template, it was just there after I downloaded the Avid codecs."I've always had to initially build the templates - however, when upgrading Vegas, the templates always migrated to the new version - ???
"Also, I would use the already there uncompressed QT template to import to Handbrake. Will I need to "build" that one as well? Will that be the Avid Meridien uncompressed?"I've only used the DNxHD codec for input to HandBrake, but I must believe the procedure to create these other templates follow a very similar workflow.
The above may or may not be of use to your particular situation and I have VP10e on a 64-bit Win7 system. But ran into some problems with render templates not working in Vegas and eventually figured out that even though the folders of various codecs where there in the Render Templates directories, one or more had somehow got corrupted, particularly ones I had created myself.
So I created a backup copy of that entire Roaming/Sony folder and nuked all of the latter templates and am slowly rebuilding them in Vegas as-needed -- and hence why my Render Templates shown here looks so bare; only the Windows Media folder in there besides Last Used (which doesn't seem to work as described IMO but seems harmless).
For most, this directory will have multiple folders by codec/format.
Perhaps something to check once in a while if relevant.
You're welcome. I got the idea from a link I found at Sony at the link below. It's more or less a re-install if all else fails page, but the Render Templates section was useful as an option. One weird (and perhaps only in-my-Vegas) quirk that I observed is that Vegas would add a "=" sign in front of the name of custom templates that sometimes ended up corrupted. May or may not be important, just a kind of "Hmmm... whud iz diz?" :)
