Build 284 is the first release of Vegas Pro 17 which has been followed up with 6 updates, the last being build 455. Updates usually fix problems with earlier releases of that version. The best thing for you to do is to go to My Products in your MAGIX My Account and download and install the latest build (455) from the Vegas Pro 17 listing under My Products.
