Missing Text In Timeline (Music Clips)

For reasons not really important here I found it necessary to reinstall VMSP. The original installation was via download with the subsequent update (9b) also being via download. During the reinstall I only ran the 9b update .exe file for the reinstallation of VMSP so whether or not this has made a difference is hard to say although to all intents and purposes things appear just the same.

Apart that is from info that is NOT being displayed on the music timeline. Prior to the reinstall the music clips displayed the song title at the beginning of the clip which was useful in remembering what went where. I've looked in Preferences etc but can't find any mention of this so can anyone please offer a suggestion? Thanks.

Up at the top click on "View" then locate and click "Active Take Information" about 3/4 of the way down the list. This shows the filename of each event. (Most of us wonder why this doesn't default to "on" rather than "off"...)

Ah ha - thanks for that Tim. What a strange choice of names, I'd never for one minute have thought of that. :-)

It makes more sense if you think about the "Take" feature, which lets you load several different clips into the same event and then toggle through them. "View Active Take Information" lets you know which of the multiple clips is the currently active one.

Of course, if you only have one clip in the event, it is the current take.
