Mixed Clip Strategy?

I have camera clips in both 1080/60p and 1080/30i AVCHD format (Panasonic HDC-TM700 output) which I would like to combine into a single video production and render in the Sony AVC format for YouTube upload.

What would be my best strategy for combining these two formats with Vegas Movie Studio 9 Platinum? What project properties would I select?

Thanks!

You should render your video to 30p for upload to YouTube, regardless of the format you use. Also, you should render it with reduced resolution. I'm not sure of YouTube's maximum resolution, but for YouTube HD it's probably no better than 720 rows, and a lot less than that for (regular) YouTube. Also, render your video with a low bitrate (such as 6Mbps tops, assuming YouTube HD); YouTube will re-encode your video and probably compress it a lot regardless of the format you upload.
