ok, my usual scenario is hdv, maybe some avchd, etc., to dvd and hd mp4. usually accomplished happily on a hdv tl and if the avchd is problematic, transcoded to mxf.

next major project is hdv, avchd and some dslr (canon i think) with a final out to dvd and mp4 for inter/intranet (but not at hd - rural based audience).

should i play as usual or work a sd tl?

or other suggestions most welcome.
