Mixing video and data on one disk

Can anybody tell me how to do this?

I prepared a DVD using DVDA and have the VIDEO_TS and AUDIO_TS folders. These take up just 1.4 GB of disk space. I want to make a DVD that will play on a home DVD player but I want to also include the original 1 GB MPEG file (from which I made the DVD) on the same disk. This original file should be able to be read on a computer, right?

I burned the VIDEO_TS and AUDIO_TS folders onto a DVD+RW (as a test before burning on a +R disk) using Roxio EZ CD Creator. As for including the MPG file, I tried two different things. First, I put the MPEG file (movie.mpg) in the root of the disk. Then, I tried putting the MPEG file in a separate folder off of the root. In both cases, my Harman Kardon DVD-25 read the disk as an MP3 disk and would only show me the MP3 playlist.

Any help will be greatly appreciated!

Thanks.

I've been able to do this with PrassiPrimoDVD (now known as RecordNow). I prepare the DVD as Video and Audio_TS folders under one folder, then I use the data template to add the Video and Audio folders and then add the mpg file outside the folders (root, I guess). It seems like record now knows how to place the Video and Audio folders in such a way that the player reads it as a DVD and yet your computer can see the mpg file for later access.

However, I'm using DVD-R and I don't know if this makes any difference.

Thanks. I have a copy of RecordNow. I will install it and try it.

Hi,

Sure a bit late, but anyway it can still help.
I found it yesterday evening with DVDA Studio 3.
In Preferences, there is the extra folder item. This extra folder will be burn beside the video files.
Great.
