MM reality Check please!? AWOL Push Pin?

Grazie wrote on 4/11/2006, 12:09 AM
I'm using MM2.1 - came with ACID Pro6 - does your PUSH pin option work on the Properties Pane fly out? I don't even HAVE a push pin?

Same reality here.

That code was part of the cause of peoples headaches using the MM. Right now you are using the sleak/tuned version without the fat and more stability than before. Those who couldn't even use the MM prior are having great success with it now.

Isn't MM past version 2.1?
Or was I too sober when I saw that last night?

Are you guyz saying there is another MM update thats only avaliable with ACID 6?

My experience was that I updated V6d and I still could not get MM to work. I installed AP6 and now I have Media Manager 2.1 and it now works.

Jake, I would think you need to ask Sony,

Jake...

Look around the forum. I think I saw someone say that if you download the AP6 demo it will install the most recent version of the MM. You won't be able to use acid fully[duh] but I think that this means that since Vegas/acid share MM that you'll then be good to go.

There's a Forum Admin note that installing even the demo of Acid Pro 6 will update the MM in Vegas 6. I did that and it seems to be OK.

You don't actually need to install the demo either.

Download Acid Pro 6 Trial. Run the acidpro60-trial.exe file and let it expand the setup files to C:\Program Files\Sony Setup\ACID Pro 6.0\ and then cancel the installation.

You'll find a C:\Program Files\Sony Setup\ACID Pro 6.0\mediamgr directory where you can run setup.exe and install just MM2.1.

So basically, Sony has a fix, they've prepared a stand-alone update for Media Manager from Vegas 6.0d's MM2.0 to MM2.1 and we are finding out about it from another user and not on the UPDATES page as a MM update? Amazing!

Tim Tyler: great tip! I have MM2.0 up and running in V6d, do I need to uninstall or delete MM2.0 prior to the 2.1 installation?

Thanks again, Darryl

I had MM2.0 . I know I had it there but NOT enabled. I left it installed just so I could demonstrate how it would crash Vegas when enabled - so I know it was still installed.

Now, Grobsie, all I did was to install AP6 and MM2.1 came along. I did NOT uninstall MM2.0, I just did the install of AP6 - and MM2.1 was there.
