MMC to Keystrokes?

Hello,

Do somebody know if its posible to read MMC(Midi Machine Code) input and translate this to keystrokes with the scripting?
And a possibility to split the start/stop fuction under the spacebar, or to put a extra start and stop function to other keys?

In the prefrences, the space bar functionality can be changed between start/stop and start/pause. The ENTER key can be used to start/stop. ESC will stop playback. F12 will play/pause.

Scripting will not help you as you cannot edit while a script is running (includes playing the timeline).

Oke..but that's no option for me.
I can't link my transport functions from my Tascam Console(TM-D8000) on a normal way because Vegas don't support MMC.
My idea was to use a software miditranslator like the one from "Bome" to make keystrokes from the midi messages.
But if this was possible with a script that this would be more direct than thru other thirt part software.
But I have to wait till Sony make this possible!
