Mocha Vegas VP21 to VP22 - refresh cashed frames ???

I have an issue when playing a VP21 created project in VP22 in the timeline (and in the rendering as well), as I get a black screen with a white warning text at events which contain mocha vegas I used for stabilizing. The warning text is as follows:

Initializing mocha.

Refresh cashed frames as necessary

after initialization completes.

Not sure on how to solve this, as it ruins the project, is there a way to fix this? Like copy the cashed files from the VP21? I do not want to redo the mocha!

I used to get something like that happening years ago with Mocha Pro even in the same Vegas Pro version/build using the same Mocha Pro version/build - especially annoying if it happens during a 6 hours render. The white on black Mocha warnings were random and without any apparent reason.

To avoid this, what I've been doing since is to have a separate project devoted to just events with Mocha Pro added as an FX and then render the events out individually and import them into the main project. An added advantage is that the main project renders aren't slowed down by having to deal with Mocha Pro FX on the timeline.

If there is someway to overcoming these warnings, I'd really like to know myself.

@Dexcon I never had issues with this on the VP21 project, just now when I opened the VP21 project in VP22.

I know continuing the same project over 2 Vegas main versions is not advisable, but hey I want the bug fixes and the new stuff!

I just solved it, (I hope it will not come back to haunt me!) by copying the cache files from:

C:\Users\<your username>\AppData\Local\BorisFX\Mocha VEGAS Plugin 2022.5\cache\qmlcache

to

C:\Users\<your username>\AppData\Local\BorisFX\Mocha VEGAS Plugin 2023\cache\qmlcache

Note: I only copied the files which are different

@bitman Just like @Dexcon I tend to do Mocha in a separate operation whether that's within a project on a single event & I then Render to a new track, or I do that event in it's own project. I have Mocha Pro not Vegas Mocha & I bought the standalone just so I can do this as a separate process if I wish to.

I do not want to redo the mocha!

One thing I always do now is - In Mocha I - Export Project, that way I've got it saved & it can be used universally across any fx that has Mocha included.
