Monitor in soundproof booth

Hi there all,

was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on the best way to set up a screen for post synching and ADR in a recording booth, while the operator can still see what's going on in the control room monitor.

Last time I did this it was either preview on the computer or external monitor.

Any suggestions?

Regards,

Phil

You can get a box that'll feed two screens off the one PC, is that what you're looking for, some of them let you use a very long cable as well?

Got one of those here, in fact - 1 VGA to 2 monitor video splitter. Claims an effective transmission distance of 65m. Cost £35 (excluding the very long cable!)

At church we picked up a $50 video splitter with four outputs. It gets it's signal from the second monitor jack of our dual-head video card. It feeds a CRT right next to the PC, an LCD projector on a 15 foot cable, and another LCD projector on a 150 foot cable. We've occasionally used the fourth output to run a TV/monitor in our spare meeting room with about 75 feet of cable. The image on all four looks excellent.
