I need to find a monitor I can trust for ~$400 or less – any suggestions? It will likely be my primary monitor for displaying Vegas and doing photo editing. The 2nd monitor (LG 23" IPS panel) will be used to display video while editing.
I'm wanting to ditch my 23" HP because it's super-sensitive to vertical viewing angle.
I just purchased an ASUS PA248Q (24" IPS 1920 x 1200) and although it's color is quite good and matches my LG very closely, it has very noticeable blooming at all 4 corners that results in a milky gray image. The LG has this as well, but to a significantly lesser degree and it's really only visible at certain angles.
At work I use a Dell 2407 and it has a wider color gamut than the ASUS or LG. I don't believe it's an IPS screen but the viewing angle is quite good. I'm inclined to return the ASUS and go with the Dell but wanted to solicit opinions first.
