Vegas does not send the input back to an output as this would cause
significant delays (latency) between what is recorded and what is
heard on the monitor. Monitor can only be done using the hardware -
if the hardware supports input monitoring.

The Layla's mixer/control panel allows you to monitor the input you
are recording. Refer to the Layla user's guide to set up the
monitoring routing correctly.

Thanks
Peter

Thanks for your prompt reply...

Ah, yes. After I posted this message, I figured out how to set up a
monitoring situation through the Layla/Mackie 1604. It sure would
help to have some docs on this.

BTW, I LOVE the program. I think you guys are writing some of the
best software available, period. Not just talking music software,
either. I think of your stuff as on par with a program like Quicken.
Easy to use, incredibly well laid out, stable, and extremely useful.
Bravo!

Is there a place to post feature requests? I'm wondering whether
automation is in Vegas' future?

Thanks,

Scott Sorkin
