In terms of performance for previewing and converting (capture) analog Hi8 to DV, anyone knows if the ADVC110 and ACEDViO are the same ?
Can I just use the s-video/composite output from the ACEDViO card and plug it into a monitor to get preview ?
Apart from that : I once transfered Hi8 tapes directly by plugging both cameras together in the past. Will Canopus card provide more quality than going this way? I guess it depends of the cam? If I can save a few bucks right now and report buying this card for a while, that would be great.
