Does your sound card / interface allow for full duplex recording?

Look in Help.
Audio Track Channel Strips.

For software input monitoring to work, you must use ASIO drivers in Vegas. You then have to configure the track to enable input monitoring.

It is very unlikely that any modern audio card does not permit full duplex recording. I am unaware of any current audio solution from the last 5-8 years that is not 100% full duplex. This is something that was a problem about 10 years ago - the old Creative Labs Soundblaster was a real pain about this.

Peter,
Nice to see you back on the boards and contributing more often again.

**I am unaware of any current audio solution from the last 5-8 years that is not 100% full duplex. **
Actually, the reason for the reply is because I bought an m-Audio OmniStudio USB four years ago and was disappointed to find out it is not full-duplex.

Actually, this appears to have provided an excellent workaround for the problem above, as I can record through the Omni inputs and monitor via the Vegas bus back to the device.

Thanks!
