more broadcast questions

After adding the "Legacy plug-in Broadcast Colors " filter to a file, can I be assured that my clip is appropriate for broadcast? It gives two options: 1. Cut away section and 2. Clamp. What is the difference? Can someone descrbe briefly and precisely how to use this filter to get the desired results to meet broadcast standards?

The cut away section presets always do nothing (unless there is a bug in the filter).

2- Clamp will simply clip colors if the colors are illegal.
