More Effects for Vegas - where ?

Can you buy more video effects for Vegas 4.0, such as ..

Making the video appear in the 35mm frames (as i towuld on a old reel to reel cinema projector) - to give an off centered look....maybe as if the tpae had reached the end of the reel... How would i do this ?

Are there any more you can buy - is there a list anywhere of plugins, FX, etc., etc.,

But for this precise effect you want, I guess you'll have to *create* it. Unless another program like Premiere can do it. But you'd have to use Premiere: yuk... (my opinion)
I'd rather figure out how I'm gonna do something with the tools I got instead of trying to figure out how I'm gonna run and de-crash a whole program that offers me a "pre-canned" effect that'll be the same on the guy's next door video.
But, again, it's my personal opinion...

You probably could get this effect you want and in each frame (each "35mm" frame) you even could have a "live" picture, ie; video. I mean, in each of the squares, you could put a video clip, then (for example) zoom into one of those "35mm" frames and get one of the actors say something that'll bring you to the transition to the next sequence. Or they could just panic about being "off tracking" like this...
A little work with Pan/Crop app and a little drawing/scanning for the rest. Then a few keys.

Lots of possibilities.

Thanks fUtZ for the idea's. Actually my son saw (15) a similar effect on a skateboard video and is looking to create his own. I can see where your coming from and I'll pass your ideas onto my son. I think he's going to enjoy looking for and working with the tools in Vegas and it'll be a good exercise for him.
