More V7 weirdness

Working on SD DV wide project and while previewing I notice the preview will jump to some previous footage for a quick moment and then back to the timeline footage. I thought it may have something to do with frames buffering into ram and rearranged somehow. So I render that section and the resulting render also shows the odd footage. If I shutdown and restart vegas the problem goes away.

My concern is finishing a 2 hour project and after rendering and delivering having the client report that they had this weirdness somewhere in the video that I obviously could not catch..... ANy clues I could not find any mention in forum search....

When I reviewed the source footage I noticed that the affected frames were actually dropped frames due to this footage being captured on an old P3 system with issues. For some reaon V7 was inserting frames from footage on another video in the timeline probably in the buffer.... where you would think it would show black or blue.

I had this issue with V5... also teh "flash" transition would nuke itslef and instead of flashing, it would cycle through random frames for the duration of the flash. to which i thought was a cool transition.. but sometimes not fitting..

I always thought this was caused by the pagefile... i used to get random frames jumping like ur getting now, but the original footage wasnt dropped frames.
Either way, V6 fixed the issue and the workaround (ie, shut down tht app and restart the app) fixed it...
with V5, before i'd render, id have to rebooth the machine, to ensure that i started fresh..
With v6 i do stupid hourse of rendering with no issues

V7... im waiting for V7b to be released before i install it... im happy to wait for the bugfixes

Yeah V6 renders are rock solid and clean the only issue I have found and still exists with 7 is it not being entirely frame accurate. Like if I freeze a frame on someone at the same time a photo flash flashes. In the timeline that flash frame is right on at 0 velocity, but if I render and then the result will be a frame or two past the flash, so my intended result created on the timeline is not the same at render....
