After capturing in VV3 I have several clips. I need to process it in Adobe After Effects or in Combustion. But I can`t open it in this programs. Everything I see is something look like mosaic. After recoding clips in the same format (AVI type2 MScodec) with the third utilities all troubles is disappeared. Is there any solution without recoding?

I hope you`ll understand me. My english is not perfect, isn`t it? :)

Are these clips DV .avi captured over 1394, or some other format? I can open just-captured DV clips in AE, no issues.

I think the only problem is the VegasVideo dv-codec will not be recognized by some other softwares like Combustion.
What helps is installing the Pananonic or the Mainconcept dv-codec. I did that I while ago and thus made Combustion and VirtualDub recognizing my VV captured video. It does NOT mean you need to re-encode your stuff using the MC- or Panasonic-codec. It only must be installed on your system.
Try it out - the codecs are available for free (even if only demo-version, that doesn't matter here).
