I have used Vegeas since v5 and now use 7d. For some reason, I am seeing motion artifacts that I am totally lost on how to fix. I shoot with a Sony HDR-FX1, capture using Vegas, and render to multiple formats; Blu-Print, HDV (both stream and program) and DVDA compliant files (4:3 and 16:9).
What I am seeing is multiple edges of objects when I pan or zoom, also when a person if moving (such as ballet). It looks almost like ghosting, except it is sharp. Please forgive my ignorance, but it seems like I am seeing it first (or more) since moving to high def. I have, however, produced a few high quality wedding videos without having this problem, but it seems its here to stay.
Have I changed a setting that has caused this? The camera shoots interlaced top field first, so what should my project/render settings be?
Does it have anything to do with interlace/deinterlace? Is it related to bitrate? Please help!
