You have to make it a part of the "preceeding clip". The menu would not be a motion menu.

i dont understand...i dont want the menu to be part of the clip..i want the clip to play..and then on the very last frame..the menu to appear..or better yet..for it to fade in

in other words

how can i link a submenu (Chapter Selection in Root Menu) to a clip, then automagically go into another static menu? so the user can finally choose a chapter?

thanks

You can't do it in DVDA currently.

The best you can do is.....

Create a motion background (or insert a media) - and have the link text box in front of the media - and then put no text in the box.

(or have no text - just image only if you want the whole box clickable)

Have your media hold on a still at the end (and don't loop the media)

Here's an article by our good friend Douglas Spotted Eagle from Sonic Foundry that might be of help

Gold....that was a good article.

Nice little bit of DVD magic!!

I will definately give this method a try on my next production!!

thanks for the article, but it what it does is let you fade into a movie from a menu by basically copying a screenshot of the menu, then crossfading it into your movie with vegas

too bad cuz i cant go the other way around since DVDA doesnt give you control to where a movie links to when its finished (the set out point)

oh well...i might use it for some other things :)

thanks again
