Motion Bluring problem

Does anyone have thoughts regarding a problem with motion bluring?? I am rendering a project, and every time, I have lots of motion blurring - like trails behind the subject with every movement. I've never, in over 1 year of heavy Vegas use, seen this come up.

I am rendering to NTSC-DV as always, i have not changed any of the preset parameters that I can see. I always leave the motion blur option set to none.

I appears to happen regardless of which drive I render to. The problem is isolated to this one project. I shot 2 days worth of live seminar material... and in this one particular clip is it a problem. But the problem IS NOT in my source file!

Does anyone have any ideas?

Follow-up....

The problem gets even more wierd....

The project consists of numerous source clips. I dropped one small clip into a new project (and it was a clip that had blurring previously)... rendered it - no problems. So I went back to the original project, put the whole thing (all clips and transitions) onto the clipboard and pasted into a new project - rendered - the problem was there. I checked, and I am using no plug-ins on the video track.

Now I'm really baffled!

Are the project settings and render settings identical?

As far as I can see - they are.
720x480
29.970 fps
NTSC-DV pixel aspect ratio
lower field first

everything checks out

I just tried rendering to Quicktime, using Sorensen codec - high bitrate.... no blurring there! It's as if NTSC-DV simply doesn't like THIS project!
