Motion JPEG to DVD

Got a lot of avi files on pc that I captured form my anal cam some time ago using that horrible pinnacle studio (with dc10+).
Want to use vegas to do "render to dvd" (pal). Have got the free Main Concepts MJPEG to decompress the file for vegas. The MJPEG avi is shown in properties as upper field first with AR of 1:1.
When I render and burn to dvd the pic has the jitters and any titles seem dis-jointed. Have tried all source and destination field orders with little difference.
Don't know if the Main Concepts MJPEG decomp is up to the mark or not.
Have rendered the same file to MPEG using pinnacle (takes forever), but the results are perfect when I burn a dvd. This MPEG is shown as "upper field first" when examined in vegas!
Anyone shed any light as to the correct settings and the codec worthiness?
(I do use my dvcam as a A/D for anal stuff on tape).

Mel.

The references to "anal cam" and "anal stuff" have simply ruined my ability to concentrate on anything else in your post. Any chance you can go back into your post and just add a couple of letters that will make it a little more easy to read what you are really asking about?

Any other week that use of wording might be funny... and I <am> having a <little> chuckle here... but still.

Thx

Sorry you find it somewhat amusing.
For "anal cam" read "analogue camera"
For "anal stuff" read "analogue stuff"

I do <know> what you meant. It was merely a suggestion to alter the words IN your original post. Very easy to do.

Or... don't bother... no problem mate.
