Motion tracker disappears

I can't find my motion tracker.

But this seems like a larger problem. Whenever I try to add additional motion tracking, they somehow get linked with one another in various ways.
Right now, I can't see any motion tracker on the screen. This happened after adding my second motion tracker. I only have the option to select one "region", and it seems to just add regions simply by incrementing a variable with little rhyme or reason. Regardless of whether I delete the motion tracking and try and start over. It's always n + 1, n + 1, n + 1. So in this screenshot, I ended up on "region 9" despite only trying to create TWO motion trackers.

There must be a fundamental thing I am not understanding about motion trackers because it's impossible to get anything done beyond the first motion tracker without bug after bug.

Thanks.

I'm not sure what to say about the regions incrementing, but this is normal behavior and shouldn't create any issues.

For motion tracking being linked to each other, you seem to understand that you need to create new regions to create new tracking paths. You can then apply that region to an event, which you've done.

I guess I haven't had any issues with multiple trackers, and not clear on what your issue is.

EDIT: Try doubleclicking a spot on the green line in the tracker dialog and see if you can't get your tracker overlay to show up. Also, if you're using a mobile nVidia GPU, there are preview window display issues after November's driver.

I got it to appear by clicking TWICE on the "FX" button on the clip.

I split each part where there is a single instance of motion tracking into clips. I did this just to see if it would help make things easier.

My new question is, "Is this required?"
In other words, if I want 10 motion trackers, do they all have to be in their own separate "split" sections?

What if I want 10 motion trackers in the same shot? Obviously, then, I wouldn't be able to split them up by section on the timeline, because they would be happening at the same time.
*edit* (I suppose this is what the "regions" are for in the first place? To track multiple trackers in the same section?)

Also, is there a way to see all the motion trackers in one organized window? Because clicking on one section, clicking on FX, clicking on FX again, right-clicking on the split section, and selecting "motion tracking" (which closes the first motion track window) and then right-clicking again on the split section, selecting "motion tracking" again (to open the selected section's motion tracking control window) is a very cumbersome way to switch between the different trackers. I only have a couple I am working with now, but I plan on having dozens more, and in that case switching through them would be a nightmare.

*edit* (It would even be useful to have multiple windows open at the same time. At least then I would be able to more easily switch between them. But as far as I can tell, you cannot have multiple tracker windows from multiple tracks open at the same time)

I don't know, perhaps it's not as big a problem as I am making it, and I just need more experience.
