MOTU 2408 + Vegas Audio 2 + ADAT

I have 2 ADAT XT 20s, and i want to start transfering my tracks to the computer for mixing. After trying VA 2.0 demo, I'm thinking of using a 2408mkII and buying VA 2.0 to transfer from ADAT to the computer.

Can this be done sample accurate?

If not, how is it done, and have people been sucessful/unsucessful with this combination?

Anything mixing Motu and windows is a bad thing. Motu with a mac based daw workstation is great...but PC is not good. Every post on many different forums concurr with this.
Echo,RME,M-audio would be a better/stable option of souncards to use. [Plus better sounding] Other than that VA2+adat in conjunction would be fine. Not sure how to do the rest...When you figure it out could you write a post on your experience/procedure of getting it to work? Much appreciated...good luck dude...Later.
