Deselect "Deactivate game acceleration" under the "Movement" tab in your Logitech mouse settings. I'm not sure exaclty what it's called, but it's something like that.

I would like the Acceleration set to "high" for everything. VV4 is my only app that is setting it back to "default"

I can't find "Deactivate game acceleration" or "Movement" I do find

"motion" and "Cursor Speed & Acceleration" which is set to "very fast" and High Acceleration"

thanks!

Yes I am using the Logitech 9.74 drivers

Starting with Mouseware 9.75 and above, acceleration and button assignments are automatically turned off when a "game" is detected. Basically, Logitech classifies anything that uses OpenGL and DirectInput as a game.

My guess is that Vegas 4 uses DirectInput for it's joystick/shuttle support.

However, you have 9.74 so this shouldn't affect you unless 9.74 contains some sort of beta version of this game detection.

Nevertheless, I would upgrade to Mouseware 9.76 so you can turn off the "game" detection.

Vegas does use DirectInput but not OpenGL (although a plug-in could). You can turn off DirectInput using the "enable joystick" in the General page of Preferences.

Oops, I should have said "Logitech classifies anything that uses OpenGL and/or DirectInput as a game." My original statement just used "and" which implies that a program must use both OpenGL and DirectInput to be considered a game by Logitech. The truth is that either condition will trigger Logitech's "game" mode.

This still isn't resolved as of 9.76 of the logitech driver.

I've selected / deselected enable joystick with all the same results.

I'm also running
9.76 of the logitech driver.
winXP pro SP1 (with all the updates)
Vegas Video 4C

Did you try the Mouseware Advanced Settings Utility.

This lets you tweak the "game" mode options. Quite frankly, if this doesn't solve your problem, then the fault probably lies elsewhere.

Yes, that utility/program did fix the problem for the logitech mouse.
Thank-you!
