Mouse "thumb" buttons

Hi all; does anyone know how to get the thumb buttons on my logitech mx-500 mouse working in Vegas 6? They worked fine in vegas 3, scrolling back and forth through the timeline, now they don't seem to do anything.

Me too! I had Vegas 4.0 & it was a real handy feature....buttons on the side of the mouse were more efficient than sliding the horizontal scroll bar.

Anyone out there have an answer on how to reactivate the side buttons?

not sure about the Logitech, but on my MS Explorer mouse there is a utuilty app that lets us assign what each button will do when using different programs. For Vegas, I assign the wheel button for Spacebar (Play Stop) small thumb for S to split and large thumb for Cut. I edit most of the time without using the keyboard. I would look for the Logitech utility program for your mouse.
