i'm working on a slideshow for my nephew's high school graduation. his mother took a bunch of .mov (quicktime) videos and some of them actually look decent. when i import them (around 100) into the media pool, vegas 5 slows down to a crawl. every time vegas gets focus, it takes several minutes to return from being "busy". this happens without even having any events on the timeline. the clips are 360x240 and 20.034fps.

any ideas on why this is happening and anything i can do?
