MOV. files not reading

Hey everyone,
resently got SV platinum downloaded on both my windows 7 PC and also my Vista laptop installed, but I am having one prob, when I try to upload MOV. files to my laptop's SV it can't seem to read the files.. I'm not positive if it it may just be a vista problem with some coding that may need changing around, as it reads the MOV. files on my PC no probs, after I changed a few files around on my Quick time to get the audio to work..
Was just hoping if someone else out there that runs off of vista and has also had the same prob with their SV. and knows how to fix?

Simply could stay on my pc to upload and edit, but when I go away to the snow or else where I take the laptop and to be able to edit the videos there and then would be better then waiting. *hands free camcorder only records in MOV. files*

Any tips or tricks to fix?

What are the properties of your MOV files? (use MediaInfo)
What version of Quicktime is installed on your computer?

The Quicktime version is 7.6.4
But I have already updated the Plugins for Sony to alow it to play MPEG-4 audio on my PC and then followed threw these changes onto the laptop, thinking these changes may need to be corrected there aswell.

QT 7.6.4 and above does not play nicely with Vegas Movie Studio.
You should roll back to 7.6 or 7.6.2 with iTunes 8 and try your files again.
