MOV files recorded from Atomos Ninja V , Blank Video

Hi. I am having a problem that was working before I had to reinstall my Windows 10. I have MOV files that were recorded on an Atomos Ninja V, and I was able to open open them in Vegas Pro 17 until recently. I did go into preferences and selected deprecated tab to enable Quicktime. I also installed Quicktime from the Apple site, and from the Vegas support page (they look the same). I can get sound, but no video. I also can''t play the MOV files in Quicktime, just sound and no video. I am able to play the files in freeware programs like VLC media player just fine. I think there is some switch in Vegas that I might have forgotten? Any help will be greatly appreciated. It sure would be awesome if Vegas would support the Prores codec that was just released in March for Window apps, but you can only get that in Abobe video products right now, and Resolve is working on it. You can download the beta codec now.

I figured it out finally. Besides the Quicktime app, you need the Avid DNxHR codec. You can download it here to play your Atomos MOV files: http://avid.force.com/pkb/articles/en_US/Download/Avid-QuickTime-Codecs-LE

I am going to give Vegas a chance to incorporate Prores into their editing software since it was released for Windows a few weeks ago. I understand Resolve is working on it, and it is available in all the Abobe video apps. I need something more solid to play and edit my Atomos recorder files, DNxHD is in a Quicktime container, and Apple has not updated it for 4 or 5 years. I like Vegas a lot, but camera gear and Atomos recorders far outweigh the cost of a limited video app.

Vegas already supports prores, has since version 14. That is, unless you mean ProRes RAW, which is not yet supported (hopefully in the next version of Vegas).

Yes, that is what I meant, ProRes Raw. Sorry for not being clear on this. I feel bummed after finding out that I can't use my Atomos Ninja V ProRes Raw files in Vegas. Thanks!
