MOV / hdv4 codec woes

I got some stock footage that came in a *.mov container. Mediainfo says the codec is hdv4 - is this a mac/FCP codec? Any way to play / convert it? VLC, Super, and Handbrake fail.....

See if AVANTI (free) will open and demux it. It worked for some hdv1 files from another user.

Thanks but it didn't work - super uses ffmpeg also so that wasn't a surprise.

Super wouldn't open the hdv1 either, that's why I thought Avanti was worth a try -- oh, well . . .

If you can upload a short clip somewhere I may have some time to play with it this weekend.
