How do you move layers in protype. I have created a multilayered text using Protype but can't seem to move a layer up or down. I want to add a background color but can't seem to move it to the back??? New to Protype so any help is greatly appreciated.
not sure what you mean. You can't add backgrounds to protype, just modify the text. I'm also pretty sure the layer listing is just for convince: nothing is on top of another, they're all on the "same" layer visually so it doesn't matter where they are in the list. Background colors of text (strangely) don't hide text "behind" them, they show through.
I tried it after I read the post, just to see what he meant. A text block with a background @ 100% opaque (255) still showed layers above & below it seemed.
I think we are back to the old: "Just 'cos Vegas CAN do something that doesn't mean . . . " situ. Meaning, if you want layers then add another track with BGs and PTT and whatever, and be done. But if you want to composite a 2-D title thing, then PTT will get the job done.
In the "other" thread - P/C v TM - "Just 'cos Vegas can do something that "appears" to be the same . . . " - Again, here, add another track . .
yeah, that's a good idea. Vegas can be used inplace of several different apps so it should be used that way (in AE, for example, you'd have no issue making a new layer for a background).
I just tried doing the text background again & it didn't work this time. Before I must of have my layers messed up & used the wrong one.
